There are all sorts of stores in Walt Disney World. In fact, everywhere you turn, there seems to be someone selling something. Popcorn, Mickey shaped pretzels, drinks, t-shirts, pins, and all sorts of other odds and ends. It was hard not to pull my wallet out at every opportunity. Though I did my best not to overindulge, there were a few items that came home with me from my vacation. It was mostly clothes, but there were some other fun souvenirs that were included as well. Take a look....
Crew Neck Sweatshirts. I have a weakness for sweatshirts, especially crew neck sweatshirts. They are comfortable and fun. There were a few that caught my eye at Walt Disney World. The first was a chunky oversized sweatshirt from the resort we stayed at with cute stripes on the arms. The other is a really pretty colour with embroidered details. It shows the castle, some classic Disney characters, and has the date on it. This is oversized and has the Walt Disney World logo stitched on the sleeve.
Pennies and Pins. At the theme parks, there is pin trading, where you can look at different pin boards and make a trade for a different Disney pin. Ahead of the vacation, my husband ordered a random assortment of pins for me to trade around the parks. The ones pictured above are the ones that I ended up with. I love them all, but was most excited to find a Waldorf pin from the Muppets and I'll Be Your Minnie/I'll Be Your Mickey pins. The other souvenirs that I collect are pressed pennies. These are the cheapest souvenirs in the parks at $1 each. I have a book with different pennies that I have collected over the years - and was able to add a few more to that collection. I found some cute Muppets pennies and some from my favourite rides.
What do you think of these Disney themed items? Do you like bringing home souvenirs from vacation?
Great haul :-D Those backpacks are gorgeous but they are so pricy over here to get from the Disney Store. :-D I love this Kermit one. :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, the Loungefly backpacks are always super expensive. I have been tempted by all sorts of them over the years but don't usually splurge on them. The Kermit one was a must though!
